It doesn't work, regardless of how long I press the right mouse button. |

Already possible. You need to click and hold the LMB for a couple of seconds.

Is it intentional that the enabled new Notification System disables itself after a relog? I logged back in today and it was disabled again. |

Can we anchor this Notification icon into the sidebar? I can't really find a space on my screen I can put this icon at where it doesn't obscure something or looks out of place.
Can we also have an option in the Audio settings to turn off the Notification ping separately from other audio sounds? |

Celine Mei wrote:Online/Offline notifications for contacts "flooding" (my) notification window sometimes.
I was looking for something like "right click" -> "Edit Contact" (on Notification Feed element) to disable the "Add contact to watchlist" checkbox. Or ~ "Esc" -> "Configure Notifications" to disable this specific type of notification.
This is a proposal. If I have overlooked an option, then please tell me where.
You mean in the Notification options under Contacts "Watched Contact Online"/"Watched Contact Offline", where you can turn off/on whether that message should be stored in the Notifs or not and whether you want to see a popup or not? And if you want to remove them from your watch list, you go to Peoples and Places -> Contacts -> Search for the char in question -> Right click it -> Edit Contact -> uncheck Add to Watchlist.

Celine Mei wrote:But context menu options within Notification History seem to be quite useful (for me).
They are there, but you need to right click the char portrait to get the right click menu. This, however, only works on players; agents portraits don't open the right click menu. |

By "that category" you mean the storing of chars logging in/out in the Notification list? |

Turn it off in the notification settings as described above? |

...and an easy way to say "don't show me these types of notifications" Turn it off in the notification settings as described above? Maybe some people want more functionality than boolean. Like, for instance, having some people pop up but not others, or having only people show up in the notifications, and not people, skills, and insurance, etc.
I guess this goes into expanding the range of functions of the Watch List itself, and many people are already very mad about the power it currently holds. For the rest (skills, insurance, wars, etc.) you can turn that all off so that it does not show in the Notification history.
*has the feeling that he's not seeing some important point about turning off notification items*
A sort of Filter for the items in the history, however, could be interesting.

Ok, now I see what you mean; took me long enough... Yep, the right-click context menu certainly could benefit from the option "Ignore this notification type" like in the fleets. |

By the way, this is bugging me for quite some time now: Can we please have consistent Gear icons in the game? We have an opaque gear in all the places (chats, market, char sheet, etc.), but in the Notification window we have a wireframe gear. This is apparently so hard to see and recognize as the icon to open the settings that so many people are incapable of finding it. |

Something I just noticed:
When I open a notification in the Mail window, the Notification icon does not lose its blue counter arrow. I have to click on the Notification icon to remove it. Yes, I do open the Mail window first in many cases to read notifications and ignore the Notification icon. Make it so that the counter is set to 0 and is removed automatically when I open the Mail window. |

When I get a new notification with a popup and click on that popup, I would like to have the blue counter go away or decrease. Right now I click on the popup, then on the Notif icon and then again or in empty space to close notifications; that's awful. |
